Everything was good, suited my needs, with courteous and nice staff at the reception desk, and the hotel's restaurant was good.

Ideal hotel, rooms are very small nonetheless the location is excellent within walking distance of the train station. All of the property's staff are welcoming. They serve excellent food, have a huge variety of options to choose from. It offers very good service. The place provides good prices...
The bathrooms are very small.

The rooms are comfortable with a beautiful new bathroom, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
Paid internet and limited breakfast options could be improved.

Great location! The Colosseum is 20 minutes on foot. To the station 5 min. Despite the proximity of the station, the street is clean and quiet. Opposite the entrance to the hotel is a green and quiet square. There is a full café, hot pizza and wine for 4 on average 50-60 euros. The bed is clean, the room is warm, there is air conditioning in heating mode. In winter, relevant! Room cleaning is so much, but the bathroom is in excellent condition, shampoos, lots of towels and a hair dryer. Breakfast is great: aromatic coffee as much as you want, hot croissants, buns, cheese, jams, butter, milk and muesli. Personally, all we needed was scrambled eggs or an omelet. In general, I highly recommend couples or a group of friends. At the station supermarket, for dinner they took cheese, slices of meat, wine, hot bread and pesto - very economical and delicious. The morning started with a swathwalk through all the sights.
It's possible to improve room cleaning

The hotel is near Termini Station. I stayed for 3 nights. I knew all about the neighborhood. It's not the first time in Rome. All the sights were on foot. I don't know what tourists expect from the station area, what they write about mud. It's a typical station environment. I came back late at night, none of the dubious people touched me)) in general, a convenient location for traveling in Italy and Rome in particular! At the hotel, the photos match the reality. I had a room for two, beds 2 shifted, but did not disperse. Comfortable mattress and pillows, all clean. The staff is friendly. Breakfast: coffee, tea, sweet croissant, bun, melted cheese, jam, butter, muesli. Typical Italian) coffee is good) price / quality ratio is fair. For 45 euros per night July/August is a great price. WiFi decent)) minus only noise insulation! Hearing is very good from the neighboring rooms! But everyone fell asleep quite early and it was quiet at night. My room had windows overlooking the courtyard, from the street full of silence. And those rooms that go out into the street, I think are also quiet, because the street is quiet and without much traffic. The garbage cars don't come here in the morning)) The air conditioning worked well. Russian channels are not on TV, if anybody needs it at all!))) toiletries are all in full. The safe is bailed out at 5 euros, it's refunded on departure. It's urban. The tax is paid in cash on departure. I'll stop again on occasion! )) didn't seem to have forgotten anything)).
Soundproofing.

I had a really great stay at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and polite, and the cleanliness of the place was top-notch. The location was also a huge plus - it's almost next to the Termini station, which made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city.
All was just fine, couldn't ask for more.

Ideal location for the hotel. Friendly staff. Cleanliness. Free breakfast (insanely delicious croissants, delicious milk, excellent choice of tea).
The soundproofing of the rooms (or rather, its absence) - all the morning sighs from the next room as if from under our bed:) there were neighbors who turned the TV on at full volume at six in the morning, at night at two or three o'clock the TV was screaming so much that they could not sleep. A very dark room - a small window overlooking the courtyard, covered with blinds-frames, though this moment did not strain much - came to the room only to sleep. The room itself is small and the bed is not very well located. The one who slept on the side of the door, lay his head almost in the toilet and at the front door, and from the toilet smell was also small. With the smell of the question was solved by closing the door tightly. The bed could be moved to another wall...

We came from a very bad hotel in Florence, with this one we got rid of the bad taste of Italy. Great staff, clean place, at least our newly renovated room. Wifi that works perfectly and very fast. spacious room. Flat screen TV with USB port. Air conditioning with individual control. They kept our bags for us until it was time to go to the airport.
These are little things that I think should not make this hotel a great option, but everything can be improved. It doesn't have a minibar. While I don't usually consume from it the fact that I have a small fridge always comes in handy. The water in the shower randomly had big temperature changes suddenly. Most of the time it doesn't come out too hot, in summer it's fine, but in winter it can be a problem. The mattresses were not too good, and perhaps the most remarkable thing that would be easier and cheaper to change, the pillows. Perhaps the only real problem we have seen. The very unvarying breakfast. Basically croissants, bread, cereal, coffee and juice. And little else. The area is quite bad, very close to Termino, with a lot of pickpockets, tramps and people who do not inspire any confidence, although in particular the street of the hotel is quieter. But of course, it's something the hotel can do little about.

The Mariano in Rome was a budget hotel with a great location near the train station. Comfortable beds, good water pressure, and nice pillows made for a pleasant stay. The hotel had all the necessary amenities and was perfect for those looking for a place to sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mariano. The staff was marvellous, the room couldn't be cleaner or nicer, and it's really well located near the Train\Bus Terminal. You can walk to some of the main attractions from there. We defenetly are staying there again!

Proximity to the train station - clean rooms
The really disappointing thing was that the door to the room could not open completely due to the location of the bed!! Please!!
